Exciting July Events

June 19, 2019

Our next public open day is on Saturday 6th July from 10:00am until 4:00pm - tickets can be purchased from here:

We also have a talk on Policing Birmingham During World War 2 - taking you through the responsibilities of police officers during wartime, the heroism and bravery of the officers that remained in the city and the auxiliary forces that filled the gap from hundreds going off to war.

And we are really excited to welcome back Bold Text Playwrights with their powerful set of short plays Behind Bars: Ghosts of the Lock-up between the 12th and 21st July. These bring to life stories and characters from the Lock-up's past including Chief Constable from 1899 to 1935 Sir Charles Haughton Rafter, the first female police officers Evelyn Miles and Rebecca Lipscombe and the legendary habitual drunkard Tommy Tank.
