PC William Smith

PC William Smith came on to do duty at 6pm seemingly in good health and was posted to his beat in Great Tindal Street, when several officers noticed that he had stumbled. When they went to his assistance he shouted ‘Oh oh’ and died. Dr Baillie attributed death was due to heart failure. He left a widow.
